Meeting of S. Rossore
On 19 July UNICEF will join hands with the Tuscany Region of at the San Rossore meeting dedicated to ‘Children and Women: Fulfilling their human rights, developing their talents, advancing the Millennium Agenda’. As in previous years, San Rossore 2007 is expected to be a high-level policy and advocacy meeting, bringing together government representatives and decision-makers from across Italy, Europe and the developing world, with the goal of placing children at the centre of the policy and public agenda.
The San Rossore meeting provides a unique opportunity to think globally and act locally, to consider the opportunities and challenges to making a world and each locality fit for children. p>

Placing children at the centre of the political debate, and organized around high-level expert round tables, the meeting is expected to adopt a Declaration reaffirming a strong commitment to children in Europe and beyond, and to advance the process of follow-up to the Special Session on Children.
