Internships at the Office of Research – Innocenti, Florence, Italy

The internship programme at Innocenti offers eligible/qualified students the opportunity to acquire practical experience under the direct supervision of experienced staff in Florence. 

To be considered for an internship, applicants must meet the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or Ph.D. degree programme or have graduated within the past two years; (b) be proficient in at least one of UNICEF's working languages: English, French or Spanish; (c) have excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records; (d) candidates must not have immediate relatives (e.g. father, mother, brother, sister) working in any UNICEF office nor other relatives in the line of authority which the intern will report to. BEST OF UNICEF RESEARCH 2019 INTERNSHIP

Our Research Facilitation and Knowledge Management team is currently looking for an Intern to assist with the ‘Best of UNICEF Research’ 2019 exercise for six months from March to September. The position involves a combination of research familiarization and project management tasks. For more details please click here.

This internship is open to individuals enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or PhD degree programme or that have graduated within the past two years.  Candidates must be at least 18 years old, not have any immediate relatives working in any UNICEF office, be proficient in English and have excellent academic performance. Interns are required to be covered by own medical insurance and, if applicable, visa to complete this internship in Italy.  A stipend is foreseen to contribute towards living expenses.

Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted for a telephone interview on the week of 25 February 2019.   Please note that applicants who have not received any notification by 1st March should consider themselves not selected.

Note to candidates:  in filling in the application, kindly note that request for “daily fee”, “overall fee and travel costs”,  upload of “financial proposal” and upload of “writing sample” are not applicable.  In all cases, kindly indicate ‘Not applicable’.
