Internships at the Office of Research – Innocenti, Florence, Italy

The internship programme at Innocenti offers eligible/qualified students the opportunity to acquire practical experience under the direct supervision of experienced staff in Florence. 

To be considered for an internship, applicants must meet the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or Ph.D. degree programme or have graduated within the past two years; (b) be proficient in at least one of UNICEF's working languages: English, French or Spanish; (c) have excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records; (d) candidates must not have immediate relatives (e.g. father, mother, brother, sister) working in any UNICEF office nor other relatives in the line of authority which the intern will report to. Our Education team is currently looking for three Interns to assist with the multi-country research project ‘Time to Teach’ for four months from September to December, with the two first months based in Florence, Italy and the two remaining months to be done remotely (teleworking). This internship is open to individuals enrolled in the last year of a Master’s or Ph. D programme or that have graduated within the past two years.  Candidates must be at least 18 years old, not have any immediate relatives working in any UNICEF office, be proficient in English and French and have excellent academic performance. Interns are required to be covered by own medical insurance and, if applicable, visa to complete the first two months of this internship in Italy.  A stipend is foreseen to contribute towards living expenses.
