UNICEF Innocenti – Global Office of Research and Foresight (Innocenti), the Migration Policy Centre (MPC) of the European University Institute (EUI), the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and the Global Policy Center (GPC) at the University of Virginia are seeking to develop a collaboration around the theme of child and family mobility in contexts of migration and forced displacement.
As an initial step, the partners will bring together a core group of expert cross-sectoral researchers and practitioners working on issues relevant for child and family migration and displacement, in order identify shared evidence gaps, priorities, and opportunities for knowledge-sharing and collaboration.
The event will convene a core group of knowledge partners with the objectives of:
- sharing key learnings on child and family migration and displacement research activities;
- collaboratively mapping knowledge gaps and priorities;
- identifying areas for potential collaboration and partnership between institutions on joint evidence agendas;
- engaging in additional agenda items that participants would find constructive to include.
The event is envisioned to be highly participatory and dynamic. Participants will include academic and research partners, UNICEF migration and displacement focal points, and a variety of thought leaders working at the intersection of migration and displacement and children.
