Note:
The Committee on the Rights of the Child is one of the treaty-monitoring bodies of the United Nations and is composed of ten independent experts. These experts are elected periodically by States Parties to the CRC. Its function is to promote and monitor the implementation by States Parties of the rights set forth in the CRC.
