Nadia Jessop

Consultant (Former title)

Nadia Jessop is a consultant with the education unit at the UNICEF Office of Research – Innocenti, where she works on research examining the contribution of sport to positive youth development. Nadia has a PhD in Educational Psychology and has conducted research on positive youth development, culture, civics, and education in the US, Caribbean, and Latin America. Prior to joining UNICEF, Nadia was a postdoctoral researcher with the WHO collaborating Center for Community Health and Development at the University of Kansas, Life Span Institute. In addition, Nadia has several years of experience in survey research and standardized test development. She was awarded a Fulbright scholarship to pursue her master's degree in education in the US, has a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of the West Indies, and served as a secondary school teacher in Trinidad and Tobago
