Matthieu Brossard

Sr. Education Specialist

Matt has been appointed as Senior Education Specialist for the CP/Education Unit starting July 1st. He has been living in New York, and working for UNICEF, for the past six years. Within the Organization he has taken care of Strategy Development, Partnerships and Advocacy work. Also, he has taken part in the Technical Support Response for the Syria Crisis for the Lebanon Education Programme. Prior to joining UNICEF Matt has worked for over six years for the World Bank, where he was managing as Team Leader the country education portfolio for the African Region. Significantly, he has successfully mobilized resources for over US$ 250 Million for the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and US$ 45 Million for Togo. Matt has also worked for UNESCO both as an Education Policy Analyst in Dakar, as well as an Education Data Analyst for the UIS Office. He holds a BA in Mathematics, a French Baccalaureate in Sciences; as well as a Master’s Degree in Statistics and an advanced Master’s Degree in Economics. Beyond French and English, Matt speaks also Russian and Wolof.
