Lorena Levano Gavidia
Lorena joined the UNICEF Office of Research - Innocenti in November 2020. She is a behavioral scientist that is currently supporting the DMS team to define and identify positive deviant school-level practices, behaviours, social and gender norms. Prior to joining UNICEF, Lorena worked for the World Bank in gender-based violence and migration issues for Latin America. Before her work in international organizations, she worked as a specialist in school violence and M&E in the Ministry of Education of Peru. Lorena holds a Master of Behavioral and Decision Sciences from the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), and a B.A. in Political Science from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. She is also engaged in teaching activities as a professor of behavioral sciences and public policy at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and the National University of San Marcos.
