Catherine Agg

Social and Economic Policy Researcher

Catherine Agg joined UNICEF - Innocenti in November 2020 to work on the Social Spending Monitor “Safeguarding Social spending amid COVID 19 for sustainable recovery”. Prior to this assignment, she was a consultant for UNICEF Zimbabwe working on public financing for basic services. Previously she has provided policy research support for various international organisations including DFID, GIZ and UNRISD. Her past research projects include: Innovative Financing Options for the Education Sector in Zimbabwe; Rights-based Social Protection and Social Cohesion in Sri Lanka; and Sustaining Funding for Civil Society Advocacy in Education in Kenya. Catherine holds a PhD in Social Policy and a MSc in Policy Research from the University of Bristol, UK.
