Andrea joined UNICEF Office of Research – Innocenti in May 2021. She is working to support the READ Team with the ‘Innovations in Education’ research projects. Andrea holds a master’s degree in Development Economics from the Sorbonne School of Economics, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Statistics from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai. She has a keen interest in research on social protection, education and social mobility. She is also an advocate of interdisciplinary and pluralist approaches to education in economics and development and is associated with Rethinking Economics Paris. In her free time, Andrea collects (sometimes reads) all the books she can find and videocalls her dog, Zoey.
