Maria Rosaria Centrone
Maria Rosaria joined the UNICEF Office of Research – Innocenti in November 2021 where she supports the Social and Economic Policy Unit as qualitative researcher. She has been active in the field of international cooperation and children's rights in South Asia, the Middle East, West Africa, and Europe, collaborating with national and international NGOs, with the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, and with the ILO and UNODC. She is also one of the co-founders of Articolo12, a company active in the field of children's and adolescents' rights. Maria holds a M.A. in Colonial and Post-colonial History from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India, and a M.A. in Childhood Studies and Children’s rights from the University of Applied Sciences in Potsdam, Germany. Her research interests include child-rights based, participatory and intersectional approaches and child sensitive social protection.
