Evan Easton-Calabria

Consultant

Evan Easton-Calabria has worked with refugees and other displaced populations, including children and families, for over a decade in both research and community development capacities. Her work focuses on refugee self-reliance and livelihoods, localisation and accountability to affected populations, and humanitarian anticipatory action in the face of climate disasters. She is a Senior Researcher at the Feinstein International Center, Tufts University, and a Research Associate at the Refugee Studies Centre, University of Oxford, where she previously worked on urban forced displacement and refugee-led organisations. She has undertaken consultancies with a wide range of INGOs and UN agencies on issues relating to migration and displacement. She holds a Master’s and PhD from the University of Oxford.

This article provides key insights from a comprehensive review of Innocenti’s research on migration and displacement over the last 30 years. It provides a foundation on which Innocenti’s current evidence strategy on child refugees and migrants is being built, blending past learning with research on pressing current and future needs and trends.
