Lusajo Kajula
Social and Economic Policy Researcher
Lusajo Kajula is a senior researcher with over 20 years of professional experience in research, evaluation and programming in developing countries, including Africa. At UNICEF-Innocenti, Lusajo is the Principal Investigator for the Kenya Universal Child Benefits (UCB) Qualitative Evaluation study. Previously for the TRANSFER Project, she led the qualitative component of the Cash Plus evaluation of the integrated social protection implemented within Tanzania’s Productive Social Safety Net (PSSN), including liaising with the Tanzania Social Action Fund and UNICEF Tanzania. Dr Kajula has experience developing and evaluating interventions that address gender and adolescent well-being in Africa. She was previously a Lecturer at the Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) in Dar es Salaam. She holds a PhD in Health Behaviour and Promotion from the University of Maastricht, Netherlands and an MPhil in Health Promotion from the University of Bergen, Norway.
