Profiles

Celina is an interdisciplinary social researcher with thematic expertise on democratization, civil society, and social inclusion in the Lusophone world. She has been based in Mozambique the last 3.5 years working on subjects such as inclusive education, women, peace and security, and community-based peacebuilding. Prior to Mozambique, Celina worked 7 years with research projects focused on urban development, security politics and inclusive citizenship in Brazil. She has a Ph.D. in human geography, a master’s degree in Latin American area studies, and a bachelor’s degree in social anthropology.
