ICT4D research study
This study aims to explore the ways in which ICTs (information and communication technologies) may act as amplifiers for development interventions focused on child-relevant MDGs and beyond 2015. In this context, it seeks to examine how ICTs may break – or indeed reinforce – cycles of inequalities. The focus of the research will be on the poor and marginalized, and thus highlight the importance of equity in terms of access, at one level to ICTs themselves, and on another to basic services to children and women.
