Note:
Under Article 18(2) of the CRC, States Parties are required to render appropriate assistance to parents and legal guardians in the performance of their child-rearing responsibilities. In addition, under Article 27(3), States Parties are required to assist parents and others responsible for the child to implement the child's right to an adequate standard of living, and to provide material assistance and support programmes in case of need, particularly with regard to nutrition, clothing and housing.
